Site Description:

This sampling site is located in the grounds of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) meteorological station at Churáňov 4, Stachy. The Churáňov MONAIRNET site is situated on the top of a hill, in a slope of up to 10% with permanent grass coverage, almost without additional surrounding dwellings. The sampling site was located at about 25 m northeast from the meteorological station.

The site is classified as a remote mountain background station. Domestic heating (combustion of solid fuels) in nearby chalets is the only likely source of air pollution.
